At Kent Community Nursery School (KCNS), in Kent, Connecticut, our mission is to provide the children of our community with a safe, caring environment for exploration and growth in a consistent teaching environment. Community awareness extends beyond school through field trips and special program presentations, with family participation welcome.
At KCNS, we believe in a strong partnership between teachers, families, and children. The school is a community where everyone belongs. We foster this connection through ongoing communication and by inviting families to participate in events.
Our school meets the individual needs of a diverse population of children and families served by our program, including those with language and developmental differences. KCNS does not and shall not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion (creed), nationality, ethnicity, disability, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity, or veteran status, in any school activities or operations, including school programs and events.
KCNS is located on the ground floor of St. Andrew's Parish Hall. Our school is not affiliated with any religion.
Licensed and operated in accordance with standards set by the State of Connecticut, the school’s co-Directors and teaching staff adhere to developmentally appropriate practices. KCNS is administered by a Board of Directors.
Ages
We serve children ages 32 months to 5 years old. Families with a child between 32-35 months must be approved for admissions by the Directors.
Hours
We are open from 8 AM to 5:30 PM. We offer enrollment for full or half days.
